HISTORY OF UTTAR PRADESH

Uttar Pradesh is a state in northern India. With over 200 million inhabitants,it is the most populated state in India. It was established in 1950 after India had become a republic. It was a successor to the United Provinces established in 1935. The state is divided into 18 division and 75 district's with the state capital being a Lucknow and Allahabad. On 9 November 2000 a new state was formed by Uttar Pradesh which is known as Uttarakhand.
                           Dance of UP 
The pride of northern India -Kathak has its origin in Uttar Pradesh and is thought to be the one of the important dance in 8th from of classical dance . This form of dance narrates the epic tales from mahabharata and ramayana through the rhythmic and footwork 
                         
                    People of UP
Inhabitants of the state are called either Awadhi . Bagheli .Bhojpuri . Braji . Bundeli . Kannauji or Rohilkhandi depending upon the reign of origin. 
The people of UP wear a variety of native and western style dresses. Traditional style of dress include colorful draped garments such as sari for women and dhoti for men and tailored clothes such as salwar kameez for women and kurta pyjama for men.

Bodo Tribe

Geographical Location  Bodo,group of people speaking Tibeto-Burman language in the northeastern Indian states of Assam and Meghalaya and in Bangladesh. The Bodo are the largest minority group in Assam and are concentrated in the northern areas of the Brahmaputra River Valley.  Culture  Rice farming, tea plantation, pig and poultry farming and silkworms rearing is th major occupation  of Bodo tribe.
